For parents

A shared moment. No new program.

RITLOOP invites families to bring stories into an everyday moment that’s already there. You decide what works for you and when you’ve had enough.

Children can try for themselves. Parents can stay close, encourage them, and help at any time.

Why wanting to is stronger than having to

Children learn to walk without needing a reward. They want to. That same drive is there in everyday moments, but pressure can cover it up: first the demand, then resistance, then the argument.

Dido changes the order. The story makes the moment inviting before anyone needs to ask. Your child goes to the bathroom because a dragon is waiting there, and they want to know what happens next.

It isn’t a trick or a reward. It draws on the same drive that helped your child learn to walk.

Our tip for the first week

Start the story when toothbrushing starts, and play it only there. That connects the anticipation with the place. One story each morning or evening is enough: the thread left open until tomorrow keeps the interest alive. And if something else works better for your family, you decide. Dido is an invitation, not a rulebook.

What it might look like

Just try it together.

There’s no perfect order and no goal you have to reach on a particular evening.

  1. Choose a calm moment

You decide whether to read aloud or start an audio story. Nothing starts automatically.

  2. Invite your child

Dido doesn’t give orders. He takes a small step and invites your child to try for themselves.

  3. Stay close

Parents provide guidance and safety. Help is welcome and may be exactly the right next step.

For difficult evenings

When the evening feels hard.

Some evenings just don’t go smoothly. For those moments, there’s a small collection of practical things to try, organized by what’s difficult right now.

  • Read for 30 seconds, try for 2 minutes. No long advice articles.
  • Your child can choose instead of being persuaded.
  • Stopping is always allowed. Dido will be waiting again tomorrow.

What matters to us

Closeness and safety stay with you.

Dido is a story, not a replacement for parents or a promise of a particular parenting outcome.

  • No points or leaderboards
  • No pressure from rewards
  • No children’s profiles or public content about children
  • No requirement to join in every day
  • No claim that it works the same way for every family
  • No account needed for the audio stories

This belongs here too

Missing a day isn’t a failure.

Family life isn’t a perfect streak. If a story doesn’t fit today, tomorrow brings another moment: no catching up, no lost points, and no guilt.
