About RITLOOP
Small moments can become big memories.
RITLOOP grew from a simple idea: ordinary moments can become something special. Through stories, little rituals, adventures, and ideas that really reach children.
One dragon, one evening, one family. That’s how small it starts.

The beginning
Dido opens the first door.
Dido is the first real attempt to bring this idea into everyday family life.
A little tooth dragon, a picture book and 29 audio stories invite families into a small world of stories. Children do not have to do anything for Dido and owe him nothing. Comfort, courage and closeness can flow both ways.
Simple, warm, and something parents and children can try together.
Dido is where the idea begins.
The audio stories are free. We plan to fund RITLOOP through companion books. You do not need a book to listen.
How RITLOOP began
From ordinary family life.

Many ideas. Eventually, one that matters.
I’ve had quite a few ideas. Probably more than is sensible. Some were good, some pretty ridiculous, and many never got beyond talking about them.
At some point, RITLOOP felt different. I wanted to start making it real.
Big memories often begin very small.
An afternoon in a strawberry field. A night in the woods. A letter with a real stamp. Doing something all by yourself for the first time.
Children don’t constantly need the next huge experience. Often it’s the little things that stay with them, especially when we do them together.
Those are the ideas I want to collect, try, and pass on.

We love them. And sometimes they still drive us up the wall.
Small daily routines can still become incredibly tiring, in the morning, in the evening, or after a long day.
Children are children. They have energy and curiosity, and usually something much more interesting in mind.

Why toothbrushing, of all things?
I honestly used to think changing diapers would become one of those big parenting battles. Lots of patience, drama, and persuasion. For us, it eventually just became part of the day.
Then came toothbrushing. Hold still for two minutes. Open your mouth. Let someone do something a young child doesn’t yet fully understand, while about a hundred more exciting things are happening in their head.
That’s when I realized: perhaps the child isn’t the problem. Perhaps we adults are simply explaining this moment in the wrong language.
What if we explained why we do it within the child’s world? With a story, a character, and imagination. And gave parents something that might make the moment easier at the same time.
That became Dido.

That’s me.
I love people, adventures, nature, and good ideas. I enjoy trying things and believe a little imagination can make life a great deal more beautiful.
Since becoming a father, I think about this even more. What stays with us? What do we pass on to our children? What moments can we create ourselves?
RITLOOP is my attempt to turn that into something real.
I don’t know how big it will become. But I know why I started.

An idea that needs time
Some ideas take 18 years.
Over my son’s childhood, I’d like to bury around 16 small time capsules in different places where we’ve shared experiences.
For his eighteenth birthday, he’ll receive three things: a car key, some travel money, and a map of the places.
Then he can set off and rediscover his own childhood, piece by piece.
Perhaps he’ll think it’s a ridiculous idea. Perhaps it’ll be one of the greatest adventures of his life. I don’t know.
But those are exactly the ideas I love. Things that start small today and become a story one day.

A real time capsule. The crosses on the map are symbolic. The actual locations remain private.

And now?
Good ideas deserve to travel.
Perhaps you have a ritual, a little adventure, or a wonderfully silly idea your children love at home. That’s exactly what interests me.
I want RITLOOP to try, collect, and pass on what families really enjoy and what can make everyday life a little more beautiful.
Today we’re starting with Dido. Then we’ll see where the ideas take us.
Not everything has to become a product. Sometimes a good idea is enough.
Do you have an idea like this?
Write to me. No account, child profile, or pictures needed. Nothing is published without asking you first.
Share my ideaIf you like RITLOOP and want to support me, tell someone about it or pass on a story. Once the book is available, you can buy it or give it as a gift. That’s plenty to help me keep going and try the next ideas.
Enough talking. Come and meet Dido.
