Dido is a little green dragon, about the size of a fist, with just one tooth. He lives on Theo’s pillow and has little adventures with his friends. While your child brushes their teeth, they can follow along with his stories: You brush. I tell the story! The audio stories are free; the two picture books are still in preparation.

Dido is designed for children aged 3 to 6. You can try one of the 29 English audio stories for free to see whether the language, length and ritual suit your child.

In the stories, Dido has adventures of his own. The short introductions explain to children and adults how to use the recordings while brushing. The idea is curiosity rather than extra pressure. Dido does not give medical instructions or replace your support while your child brushes their teeth.

No. You don’t have to finish an episode or choose a new one every day. Whenever you pause brushing or finish, an adult pauses the recording. At the next brushing time, you can carry on from the same place or listen to a familiar story again.

The stories and songs are part of the brushing ritual: they play only while you brush. An adult starts and pauses the recording and stays with the child. The length of a recording does not tell you how long to brush. You don’t need to brush longer to finish an episode, and there is no need to sing along.

Stories in German, English, Turkish, and Spanish. All stories are free, with no account or extra app. There are also 22 songs in German.

Falko Flamme, a dad and solo founder from Frankfurt. Dido grew out of toothbrushing time in his own family. Today, Falko is developing RITLOOP step by step and welcomes experiences from parents and people who work with children.

Prices have not been set yet. Book 1 and Book 2 are in preparation and are not yet available. You can already listen to Dido for free; you don’t need a book to do so.

A publication date has not been set yet. Before sales begin, the print files, printed proof copies and ordering process will be checked. You can find the current status on the book page and on each language page.

We use aggregated website usage statistics. On the listening page, these also include selected listening and feedback events. The separate language listening pages under /sprachen/ do not load web analytics scripts or send listening events. If you turn on “Remember our place on this device” there, your last listening position stays in the browser on your device. The privacy policy explains the statistics, local storage and hosting in more detail.

There is currently no subscription. The published stories, songs and free downloads are available at no cost and without an account. The books are still in preparation and are intended to be sold separately later.
